Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alonso Mcguire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Chaos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alonso Mcguire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anderson Chaos!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcguire ducks right into an uppercut from Chaos.
Chaos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mcguire gets caught flat footed, as Chaos shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Mcguire avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Mcguire is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Mcguire is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Chaos defends well.
Mcguire working a defensive guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chaos forces his way into half guard.
Chaos throws a strike but Mcguire avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Chaos gets to his feet. Mcguire looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Chaos fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Mcguire is out of range.
Chaos's coach down at ATTACK GYM was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Chaos's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Chaos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mcguire moves away.
Chaos throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Mcguire takes a swing at Chaos's ribcage but misses.
Chaos lands a body shot.
Chaos misses with a double jab.
Anderson Chaos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A right-left combo lands from Chaos.
Mcguire on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Chaos throws a lazy head kick
and Mcguire counters with a thumping low kick.
Mcguire closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chaos lands a nice shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chaos tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Mcguire misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chaos scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Chaos misses with a jab to the body
and Mcguire counters with a head kick.
Chaos with a lazy takedown attempt

and Mcguire counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Mcguire's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Mcguire won't allow Chaos to sweep him here.
Mcguire has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Mcguire won't allow Chaos to get back to his feet.
Mcguire really is a fat lump.
Mcguire throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chaos works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Mcguire trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Chaos is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Chaos wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Mcguire misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chaos throws a sloppy head kick and Mcguire moves out of range easily.
Chaos lands a nice shot that snaps Mcguire's head back.
Chaos cracks Mcguire with a right hand to the side of the head.
Chaos tries a low kick but Mcguire avoids it.
Mcguire avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Chaos misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Mcguire moves into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Chaos tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mcguire just stands there and leans against the cage.

Mcguire lands a takedown into guard.
Chaos is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mcguire is controlling him.
Mcguire missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Mcguire is posturing up here but Chaos has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Mcguire tries to roll out but it's too tight and Mcguire has to tap! Slick submission there by Chaos!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Anderson Chaos!
