Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keith Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Adamek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adamek has chosen I Am The Sword - Motorhead as his entrance music. Tomasz Adamek has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keith Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tomasz Adamek!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adamek tries to score a power double leg takedown but Young sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Adamek somewhat.
Adamek shoots and misses
and Young counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Young throws an ugly left hook that misses

so Adamek counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Young has his foot on Adamek's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Adamek works his way back into a safe position though.
Adamek stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Young swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Young definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Young wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adamek wants to control from the top but Young keeps moving.
Young will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Young is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Adamek is aware though and is defending well.
Young can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Adamek controls the pace.
Young wants to sweep but no luck.

Adamek tries to free his leg and advance position but Young is retaining full guard.
Young tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Adamek wants to control from the top but Young keeps moving.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Young is looking to sweep but instead, Adamek has passed into half guard.
Adamek tries to pass to full mount but Young defends it.
Young trying to control but Adamek postures up.
Adamek takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Young wants to get back to full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Adamek stalling away here and it's allowed Young to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

It looks like Adamek might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Young wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Adamek closes this distance looking for a takedown but Young circles away.
Keith Young has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomasz Adamek.

and Adamek counters with a nice double leg into side control. Young won't be happy with that.
Young tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Young tries to get to full guard but Adamek has control of the leg.

Adamek passes the guard and advances to mount!
Young prevents Adamek from taking his back.
Young takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Young is squirming around, avoiding Adamek's attempts to control the action.

Adamek goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Young is on top in guard.

Adamek is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Young is aware though and is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Adamek controlling Young's posture.
Adamek is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Adamek is keen to just control but Young is a slippery customer.
Young gets full guard.
Young can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Adamek controls the pace.
Young tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Young is trying to control the position but Adamek postures up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Tomasz Adamek dominated that round.
That's time! Young's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Adamek keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Adamek's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Young connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Adamek scrambles back to his feet.
Keith Young seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Adamek bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Young scores with a jab.
Young swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Adamek counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Adamek looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Adamek shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Young's guard.
Young keeping moving, preventing Adamek from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Young is trying to keep Adamek in close.
Adamek works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Young is looking to control Adamek's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Young avoid being mounted?
Young is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Adamek's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Adamek's back!
Adamek takes a big shot to the side of the head.

Young is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Adamek has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Young lands strikes from the back and Adamek isn't doing enough to escape the position. The referee steps in to end the fight.
