The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jones with the counter takedown but Boyka avoids it easily.
Jones moves out of range as Boyka strikes.
Jones wants to counter the offense by Boyka and move into the clinch position.
Jones throws a hook but Boyka blocks it.
Boyka tries to counter with a takedown but Jones is quick to defend against it.
Left hook, right uppercut from Jones.
A slow jab from Boyka misses its intended target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones misses with a few strikes there.

Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Jones wants to free his trapped foot but Boyka is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Boyka is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Boyka seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Boyka working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jones wants to control from the top but Boyka keeps moving.

Boyka is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jones is aware though and is defending well.

Jones content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Boyka has locked up a guillotine! Boyka's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Jones is holding on here and Boyka must be using up a lot of energy. Jones has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Boyka gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
