Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Cansez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noriko Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie drives through with a takedown into guard.
Cansez keeping full guard, as Gracie tries to pass.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Cansez looking to control.
Gracie is pushing down on Cansez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cansez is fighting to maintain full guard but Gracie has managed to sneak the leg through.
Cansez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gracie is working away from the top position though.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but Cansez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage.

Cansez is defending against the submission attempts here by Gracie.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Cansez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Gracie has his foot on Cansez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cansez works his way back into a safe position though.

Cansez is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Gracie had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cansez is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gracie Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cansez's back instead.

Cansez really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Gracie's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.

Cansez has hold of Gracie's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

I really don't envy Cansez right now.
