PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lonje Moco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Judah Seraphim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Lonje Moco has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Lonje Moco seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Judah Seraphim!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seraphim will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Moco showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Seraphim.
Seraphim looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Seraphim has managed to clinch.

Moco breaks from the clinch.
The fighters circling - Seraphim throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A little feinted left hand from Moco on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A jab from Seraphim does it's job there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moco shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Seraphim manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Seraphim is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Moco dives into side control.
Seraphim pushes Moco away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Moco gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Moco tries to advance to mount but Seraphim denies him.

Moco is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Seraphim is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Moco really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Seraphim tries to hold on but Moco postures up.
Seraphim is desperately trying to improve his position but Moco has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Seraphim can do anything to dispel that myth.
Seraphim tries to hold on but Moco pushes him away.
Seraphim is in all sorts of trouble here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moco seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Seraphim for as long as he can get away with.
Moco's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Moco is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Seraphim can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Seraphim is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Moco locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Seraphim is forced to tap!
