The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lapikov thows a huge punch but Grundy dodges it nicely.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Horrible takedown attempt by Lapikov or perhaps it was just good defense by Grundy, which made it look bad.

A telegraphed right hand from Lapikov misses the target.

Lapikov clinches up with Grundy and pushes him back against the cage.

Grundy pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Grundy gets through Lapikov's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Grundy throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Lapikov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Grundy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Lapikov throws a lazy right hand but Grundy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Grundy wants to clinch.
Grundy connects with a leg kick. Lapikov looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Lapikov fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Grundy checks it well.
Lapikov thuds his right hand into Grundy's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grundy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lapikov.
Nice uppercut lands for Lapikov. That snapped Grundy's head back.
Lapikov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lapikov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Grundy is fending him off so far but Lapikov persists. Nope, Grundy circles away and we're back to standing.

Lapikov throws a shot from downtown. Grundy moves away and avoids it.
Lapikov cracks Grundy on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Grundy falls backwards against the cage. Lapikov follows up with more strikes that drop Grundy to his knees. Lapikov keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Grundy! This one is all over!
