Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between RJ Cherubim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jambo Jambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). RJ Cherubim had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jambo Jambo!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cherubim showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jambo.
Jambo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cherubim moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cherubim.
A low kick from Cherubim is predictable there
and Jambo counters by moving into the clinch.
Cherubim has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Jambo regains guard immediately.
Jambo wants to sweep here but Cherubim controlling him for the moment.
Jambo has control of Cherubim's left arm, preventing Cherubim from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cherubim tries to roll over but Jambo keeps him under control.
Cherubim is staying active underneath Jambo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cherubim knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jambo on the ground.

Cherubim has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Jambo is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Cherubim has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Cherubim tries a head kick but it misses.

A pretty intense looking Jambo Jambo took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
