The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson throws a lazy head kick

and Goss counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Goss throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Henderson pushes Goss off looking to stand but Goss dives back in and keeps control.

Henderson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Goss counters with a big head kick but Henderson shrugs it off.
Henderson dives in and grabs Goss's left leg, looking for a takedown. Goss pushes down on Henderson's head and hops out.

Goss changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Henderson tries to avoid it but Goss manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Henderson to the ground. Henderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Henderson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Goss avoids it really well and circles away.
Goss shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Henderson as he avoids it easily.
Goss keeps the fight on the outside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alex Goss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Freeman Henderson.

Goss misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Goss goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Henderson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Goss's guard! Nice work there by Henderson!
Goss definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Goss is on top in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Henderson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Goss drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Goss jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Goss accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Henderson is looking for a triangle here but Goss uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Henderson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Goss connects with a decent elbow.


Henderson is rocked!

Goss cracks Henderson with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Goss immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Henderson is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Goss!
