Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ian Mueller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lenny Shultz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ian Mueller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lenny Shultz!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shultz lands with a shot to the body.
Mueller shoots in for a takedown but Shultz shows good takedown defense.

Mueller gets tackled into the cage by Shultz. Shultz maintains the clinch.

Mueller ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mueller no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Shultz is fighting to break Mueller's control of his arms but Mueller is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mueller is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mueller will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Horrible takedown attempt by Mueller or perhaps it was just good defense by Shultz, which made it look bad.

and Mueller counters with a nice double leg into side control. Shultz won't be happy with that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Mueller throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Mueller lands an elbow.

Mueller is trying to get an arm triangle but Shultz is defending well.
Shultz is letting Mueller control him for a moment.
Mueller looks up at the clock and then as Shultz takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mueller smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Mueller is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Shultz has escaped the position, nice work there.

Mueller decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Shultz misses with a few strikes there.
Mueller quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Mueller shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shultz sprawls well. Shultz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mueller gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ian Mueller. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Mueller really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Shultz connects with a nasty looking knee right to Mueller's face.

Mueller manages to pull guard.

Mueller lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Shultz is breathing heavily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mueller content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Shultz digs a good body shot into Mueller's ribs.
Shultz swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mueller.
Mueller is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shultz can do to turn this around?
Shultz throws a hook to the side of Mueller's head but Mueller sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Shultz throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Shultz lands a really nice looking cross but Mueller seems unphased.
Mueller slips a jab and a cross from Shultz.
And Mueller counters with a quick kick to the body but Shultz blocks it.
Shultz scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Shultz misses the shot to the body.
Mueller appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Mueller will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mueller bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Shultz throws a right and a left that Mueller avoids nicely.

Shultz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mueller is trying to pull guard but Shultz has him pressed against the cage.

Shultz lands a big knee! That's hurt Mueller! Oh, he's all over the place! Shultz lands another knee that sends Mueller to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
