And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kev Rubio!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rubio, right into the meat.
Rubio misses with the combination.
Rubio is looking to slow Mcguire down with leg kicks.

and Mcguire counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Mcguire is trying to control the position but Rubio postures up.
Rubio wants to get up but he can't break Mcguire's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Mcguire escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rubio gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kev Rubio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Mcguire really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rubio scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mcguire doesn't seem bothered though.

Rubio lands a left and a right that send Mcguire crashing to the mat, dazed. Rubio thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Aaron Mcguire has been cut.
Kev Rubio seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Rubio misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Oh Mcguire is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mcguire is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Rubio just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Mcguire has gone limp and this one is over!
