The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Obi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Waflleiron has taken the fight to the clinch.

Waflleiron breaks from the clinch.

It looks like Carl Waflleiron has been cut.
Waflleiron steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Obi.
Obi lands a jab to the head.
Waflleiron wants to clinch.
Obi lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Waflleiron backs up against the cage.
Waflleiron shoots in looking for a takedown. Obi tries to sprawl out of it but Waflleiron keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Obi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The fight stays on the outside here - Waflleiron looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Waflleiron decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Obi wants to improve his position but Waflleiron is controlling well.

Waflleiron controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Obi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Waflleiron.
Obi lands a nice shot that snaps Waflleiron's head back.
Obi lands with an uppercut that bounces Waflleiron off the cage and back into range.
Waflleiron closes the distance but Obi moves to the side
and Waflleiron takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Waflleiron is breathing heavily.

A decent looking cross lands there for Obi.

Waflleiron is rocked!
Waflleiron tries to get into range but Obi steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Waflleiron! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Obi scores the big KO victory!
