Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Albert Gore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Cisterna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Albert Gore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Cisterna!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gore bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Gore throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gore's corner calls for a 1-2. Gore obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Cisterna defending well as Gore loads up on a big left hand.

Cisterna closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Cisterna throws a strike aimed at the side of Gore's head but Gore avoids it well.
Cisterna has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Gore is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Cisterna asserts his dominance and retains side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cisterna tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cisterna has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Gore knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cisterna on the ground.

Gore is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Gore escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cisterna gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cisterna throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gore works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Cisterna not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gore wants to sweep but no luck.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Cisterna blocks a jab.
Gore tries for a takedown but Cisterna circles away easily

so Cisterna counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cisterna tries to free his leg and advance position but Gore is retaining full guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Gore doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Cisterna counters with a single leg into guard. Gore didn't expect that.

Cisterna slips nicely into half guard.

Cisterna is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Gore has managed to free his arm - good work.

Gore pushes Cisterna off and gets back to his feet.
Gore looks to land a left hand but Cisterna moved out of range nicely.
Gore is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Cisterna.
Gore wants to control but Cisterna postures up.
Cisterna is working Gore over with some ground and pound from side control.
Cisterna moves into full mount!
Gore is in all sorts of trouble here.
Cisterna throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Gore is desperately trying to improve his position but Cisterna has a good base and remains in mount.
Gore is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Cisterna tries to control but Gore wriggling away.
A nice elbow there by Cisterna.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cisterna goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Gore turns into him and now he's in Cisterna's guard.

Cisterna looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cisterna working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gore doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gore manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cisterna is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Gore wants to control from the top but Cisterna keeps moving.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gore is keen to just control but Cisterna is a slippery customer.

Ryan Cisterna showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cisterna uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gore.
Gore slips a jab and a cross from Cisterna.
Gore throws a right hand that Cisterna ducks under and follows up with a left that Cisterna also avoids with ease.

Cisterna takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Cisterna drops Gore with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gore looks back up at him and smiles so Cisterna waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Gore is rocked!


It looks like Albert Gore has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gore throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Gore jabs Cisterna right on the nose. Cisterna blinks but takes it well.
Gore is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Cisterna doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Gore crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Gore's bad books for that mishap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ryan Cisterna!
