Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stu Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dack Fayden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bennett comes to the cage accompanied by CFO$ - Rebel Son. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stu Bennett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dack Fayden!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bennett misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fayden misses with a takedown attempt - Bennett sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bennett lands an overhand right.
Fayden ducks under a wild hook from Bennett.
Nice sprawl there from Bennett as Fayden shoots in.
Bennett fails to land with a series of punches.
Fayden shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Bennett throws a right and a left that both miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fayden looks to throw the jab but Bennett is out of range.

Fayden shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bennett napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Fayden looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fayden not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bennett wants to get back to full guard.

Fayden is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bennett has managed to free his arm - good work.
Fayden has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Bennett knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fayden on the ground.

Fayden jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Bennett manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fayden wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bennett keeps working.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bennett avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Fayden.
Bennett is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Gotham Power Plant that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Fayden goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bennett rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Fayden's guard! Nice work there by Bennett!
Bennett has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fayden is proving hard to escape from.

Bennett lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Bennett connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Stu Bennett is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fayden swinging wildly here.
It looked like Bennett was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Fayden.
Fayden throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Fayden is fighting to break Bennett's control of his arms but Bennett is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
My spies in LeBeau Ground Fighting inform me that Fayden has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Fayden pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bennett is keeping the position for now.
Bennett pulls Fayden in close to prevent any damage.

Fayden stands up over Bennett, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Fayden might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bennett haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bennett throws the left hand but Fayden avoids the punch easily.
Bennett lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Bennett pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Fayden misses with a double jab.
Bennett throws a leg kick but Fayden moved away.
Fayden shoots for a double leg takedown but Bennett sprawls well. He's pushed Fayden's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A little feinted left hand from Bennett on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
No luck for Fayden with that takedown attempt.
Stu Bennett is winning the standup battle so far.

Bennett connects with a solid leg kick.
Bennett turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Bennett with a nice cross.

Fayden fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bennett, pushing him back against the cage.
Bennett throws a head punch that misses.
Bennett throws a punch but it's blocked by Fayden.
Bennett wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bennett lands a left hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bennett blocks an uppercut.
Bennett has a couple of punches blocked by Fayden.

Bennett breaks the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stu Bennett dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Bennett looks to throw the jab but Fayden is out of range.

Fayden has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bennett wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bennett prevents a takedown attempt there.

Fayden jumps guard and drags Bennett to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Fayden seems keen to control Bennett's posture.
Bennett wants to stand and escape but instead Fayden has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Fayden stays in close to Bennett's body and controls the position.
Fayden wants to pass the guard but Bennett is keeping the position.

Bennett has momentary wrist control but Fayden slips an elbow through the middle.
Fayden seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Bennett wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bennett is on top in guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Bennett would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Fayden tries to clinch but Bennett is having none of it.
Fayden throws a nice looking combination but Bennett bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bennett throws a hook but Fayden avoids it easily.
Fayden slips a jab from Bennett.
Bennett is looking to slow Fayden down with leg kicks.

Fayden throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bennett counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fayden moves out of range as Bennett strikes.
It seemed like Fayden was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Fayden takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fayden shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bennett tests Fayden's chin there with a solid looking shot.


It looks like Dack Fayden has been cut.
Bennett throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bennett wants to slow Fayden down by chopping away at his legs.
Bennett misses with a straight left.
Fayden scores with a one two! Bennett had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Fayden takes a jab right on the kisser.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bennett misses with a two punch combination.
Dack Fayden has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bennett dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bennett fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fayden manages to avoid it.

And that's the end of the fight!
