Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Munir Hadid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxwell Koko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maxwell Koko will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koko tries to clinch but Hadid moves out of range.

Hadid clinches up with Koko and pushes him back against the cage.
Nice body punch from Hadid.
Hadid will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Koko up against the cage.

Hadid jumps guard.
Koko is looking to stand up but Hadid won't let him.
Koko passes into half guard.
Hadid pushes Koko off looking to stand but Koko dives back in and keeps control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Koko wants to take a breather but Hadid is having none of it.
Hadid on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hadid tries to get out of the position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hadid dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Koko moves away from the strike by Hadid.

Hadid went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

A head kick misses from Hadid.
Koko drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hadid defends it well.

Koko moves into the clinch.
Hadid keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Koko's efforts to push away.

Koko works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Hadid lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Hadid has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Koko is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hadid would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hadid controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Hadid fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Koko sprawls well initially but Hadid persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

As Koko looks to move away, Hadid throws a big counter combo bu Koko just gets out of the way.
Koko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hadid circles away.
Hadid keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Koko wants to clinch up but Hadid keeps it at a distance.

Hadid bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Hadid is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Koko will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Koko is looking to regain half guard here but Hadid keeps moving and retains side control.
Hadid controls the position.
Koko is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hadid has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Hadid is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Hadid cracks Koko with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Hadid wants to stand but Koko is controlling his arm.
Hadid prevents Koko from escaping the position.

Hadid is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Koko can do to turn this around?

Hadid closes the distance and pushes Koko back into the cage.
Hadid lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Koko backwards.
Koko managing to block the knees to the body from Hadid.
Koko is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hadid is defending well.

Hadid pulls Koko into guard.
Koko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hadid swivels though and keeps the full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hadid is on top in guard.

Hadid wants to free his trapped foot but Koko is holding on for dear life with his legs.
