Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Prince Meyers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubba Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Red has chosen Black Stone Cherry Bulldozer as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bubba Red!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Red shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Meyers throws a big counter combination but Red scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Red throws a left and a right that both miss
and Meyers counters with a three punch combo that has Red backing up. Red nods at Meyers to acknowledge the strikes.
Red looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Meyers scores with a head kick.
Red swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Meyers makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Bubba Red seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Red shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Meyers pinned against the cage. Meyers gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Red shoots in for a double leg but Meyers sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Meyers seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Red changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Meyers tries to avoid it but Red manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Meyers to the ground. Meyers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Red doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Meyers counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Red looks winded!

Meyers clinches up with Red and pushes him back against the cage.
Red keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Meyers's efforts to push away.
Red is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Meyers wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Red has Meyers pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Red pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Meyers tumbling to the mat - Red dives into Meyers's guard.
Meyers wants to stand and escape but Red is having none of it.

Red throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Meyers's waist but Meyers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Red off to one side.

Red gets caught flat footed, as Meyers shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Red shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Meyers but Meyers pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Prince Meyers.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Meyers, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
