The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plant tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Carwin swivels and escapes.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Plant drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Plant stands up and beckons Carwin to his feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Plant.
Carwin is trying to control Plant's posture but Plant avoids it.
Carwin is looking for a sweep.
Plant in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Carwin is trying to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Plant fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Carwin sprawls well initially but Plant persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Plant stalling.
Carwin tries to get to full guard but Plant has control of the leg.

Carwin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carwin is trying to maintain the position but Plant is very close to passing his half guard.

Plant has an Americana. Carwin didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Plant is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Plant hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
