Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Hendrik Daross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Edgar Hoover!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daross lands a glancing blow to the side of Hoover's head.
Hoover throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Daross's waist but Daross gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hoover off to one side.
Daross darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Daross with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Daross connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hoover's hands.
We've been hearing reports that Daross has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Daross pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hoover is out of range and Daross settles back down.
Daross scores with a nice head shot.
Daross scores with the left hand. Hoover knows he should have avoided that one.
Hoover fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Daross throws a body kick that misses

and Hoover counters by moving into the clinch.
Hoover blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Daross tries to circle away but Hoover has him pinned against the cage.

Daross lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Daross can't find room to land a body shot as Hoover controls the action.

Hoover shoots in but no luck this time.
Hendrik Daross has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edgar Hoover.
Good work by Hoover as he checks the leg kick.
Hoover tries to score a power double leg takedown but Daross sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hoover somewhat.
Hendrik Daross is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hoover darts in looking for a takedown but Daross gets double underhooks and turns Hoover into the cage.

A looping hook to the body misses from Daross. Hoover does a little dance to reset his feet.
Daross tries a head kick but it misses.
Hoover takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Daross tests Hoover's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hoover darts in looking for a takedown but Daross gets double underhooks and turns Hoover into the cage.

Hoover shoots in for a takedown but Daross shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hoover looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Daross swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hoover looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Daross is fending him off so far but Hoover persists. Nope, Daross circles away and we're back to standing.

Hoover avoids the head kick by Daross.
Hoover shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Daross but Daross pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Daross goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Daross misses the shot to the body.
Hoover throws out a counter right but Daross avoids it with no problem.
Daross throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Daross defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hoover.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Daross.

Daross stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Daross wants it to stay on the feet.
Hoover is trying hard to land a takedown here. Daross sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Daross drops Hoover with a beautiful combination! Hoover stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Daross is looking for the KO!


Hoover is rocked!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hoover shoots in for a takedown but Daross shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hoover is still on wobbly legs! Can Daross finish him?
Hoover looks winded!
Daross ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Hoover's jaw. Hoover's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Daross does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hendrik Daross!
Our winner, Hendrik Daross, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
