Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jordon Reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Myoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jordon Reid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Myoto Machida! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Reid manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Reid looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Reid can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Machida controls the pace. Machida trying to control the position from guard on top but Reid is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Reid not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Machida throws a big right hand that misses. Machida seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Machida with a flurry of punches that miss. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Reid wants to sweep but no luck.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Machida darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Reid tries to roll over but Machida keeps him under control. Machida keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Reid trying to hold on to Machida's head to control him but Machida postures up.
Machida decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Machida has closed the distance and engaged Reid in a clinch.

Reid tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Machida smiles and moves away.

It looks like Jordon Reid has been cut.
Machida shoots in and bounces Reid off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Machida with a flurry of punches that miss.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Reid is trying to hold Machida in close to prevent damage but Machida has managed to pass into half guard.
Reid is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Machida jumps into side control! Machida in side control, just content to control the action for now. Let's hope that Machida has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Reid is trying to improve his position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Reid parries the strikes from Machida easily there. Machida is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Reid to escape.
Machida tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Machida has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Reid trying to remain calm as Machida controls from the top position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Reid is trying to control Machida's posture but Machida avoids it. You can see the frustration on Reid's face as Machida controls the position. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Myoto Machida dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jordon Reid's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Reid gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Machida to score an easy takedown into full guard. Reid looking to hit a scissor sweep but Machida is one step ahead there. Machida throws a big right hand that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Machida accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Machida trying to control but Reid is working from the bottom. Machida pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reid is keeping the position for now.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Reid looking to control.
Machida won't allow Reid to sweep him here.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Machida closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Reid's guard. Reid wants to sweep but no luck. Reid is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Machida is stalling in the full guard.
Machida gets to his feet - Reid follows without any prompting.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Machida looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Reid!
Machida decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Machida moves into the clinch.
Reid is fighting off a takedown attempt but Machida is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Reid to the mat. Reid regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Machida trying to control the position from guard on top but Reid is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Machida pushes down on Reid's leg and manages to get into half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.

Machida is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Reid is just riding it out for now. Machida eventually gives up the hold. Machida wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reid keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Reid is trying to maintain the position but Machida is very close to passing his half guard. Reid wants to get back to full guard.
Machida is looking for a kimura but Reid is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Machida to get the leverage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Machida not doing much here.
Reid is trying to control but can't.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Myoto Machida showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jordon Reid's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Machida throws a jab when Reid was well out of range. Reid appears to be looking for a big counter.
Machida drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Machida has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Reid is looking to regain half guard here but Machida keeps moving and retains side control. Machida has control of an arm but Reid manages to advance to Machida's back! Reid really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Reid tries to keep control of the position but Machida is staying busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reid is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Reid wants to control but Machida is keeping busy. Machida trying to control the position but Reid manages to sink in the hooks. Machida tries to escape but Reid has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Reid tries to get the hooks in deep but Machida pushed the leg off. Reid is controlling the position but Machida somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Machida actively working from the bottom here. Reid wants to get back to his feet.
Reid wants to control but Machida is keeping him busy. Reid prevents Machida from improving his position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Reid is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Reid wants to stand but Machida has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Machida is looking to improve his position.
Machida is refusing to be controlled, as Reid sits in half guard.
Machida is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Reid pulls his head out easily. Reid wants to get back to his feet.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Machida is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Reid's half guard. Machida throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Reid is looking for a sweep. Machida is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Machida looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Machida wants to pass to mount but Reid is defending the position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Machida wants to control but Reid is keeping him busy. Machida not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Machida controlling the action here.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Reid controls Machida momentarily but Machida frees himself. Jordon Reid has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Myoto Machida is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Reid is looking for a triangle here but Machida uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Myoto Machida comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Machida has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
