The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hicks gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Hicks on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Hate throws a body kick that misses

and Hicks counters with a single leg into guard. Hate didn't expect that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hicks prevents Hate from getting back to his feet.
Hicks wants to pass the guard but Hate is keeping the position.
Hate is looking to stand up but Hicks isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hicks looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A slapping body kick lands there for Hate.
Hate fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Hicks avoids a kick to the body.
Hicks changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Hicks shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hate but Hate pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Hate lands a left and a right that send Hicks crashing to the mat, dazed. Hate thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Hicks is rocked!

It looks like Cameron Hicks has been cut.
Hicks definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hicks avoids the head kick by Hate.
Oh Hicks is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hate catches Hicks with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Hicks forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
