Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mc Cullough Erwin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Price!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erwin missing with a left hand there. Price was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Erwin throws a lazy right hand but Price sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Price on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Erwin throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Price shoots and misses
letting Erwin counter with a right hand.


It looks like James Price has been cut.
Erwin misses with a looping left.
Erwin throws a hook but Price blocks it.
Erwin throws a hook but Price avoids it easily.
Price with a lazy takedown attempt
and Erwin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Erwin misses with a looping left.
Price drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Erwin defends it well.
Price takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Erwin throws a nice looking combination but Price bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Erwin throws a front kick aimed at Price's knee but Price avoids it well.
The fight stays on the outside here - Price looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Price closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Price trying to control the position but Erwin is working away.

Price decides to stand back up. Price steps back and let's Erwin get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Price trying to pass the guard but Erwin defending well.

Price decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Price moves into range and connects with a jab.

Price looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Erwin is fending him off so far but Price persists. Nope, Erwin circles away and we're back to standing.
Erwin swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Mc Cullough Erwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Price.
Erwin leaves Price with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Price looks winded!
Erwin misses with a body shot.
Price was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
James Price seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Price has his takedown stuffed
and Price takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Erwin misses with a looping left.
Price tries to clinch there but Erwin circles away.
Price darts in trying to clinch
and Erwin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Price fails in his attempt to clinch.
Erwin's jab looks to have found its range, popping Price under the eye.
Price misses the body punch

and Erwin counters with a crisp right hand that drops Price! Erwin lets Price back up to his feet, looking for a finish!


Price is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Erwin connects with a body shot that sends Price's belly button to the back.
Price is still on wobbly legs! Can Erwin finish him?
A jab from Erwin misses.
Price seems to have recovered his senses.

Erwin lands a big uppercut and Price crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Price looks OK. Erwin waves Price back to his feet!


That has opened up James Price's cut even more.
Price bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Price clinches with his opponent.

Erwin manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mc Cullough Erwin dominated that round.
The cut man is working on James Price's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Erwin feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Price's calf.
Erwin looks to throw the jab but Price is out of range.
James Price is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Erwin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Erwin keeps the fight on the outside.
Erwin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Price can do to turn this around?
Erwin lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Erwin jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Price shoots in but no luck this time.
Price has a takedown stuffed.
Price is breathing heavily.

Price tries to clinch there but Erwin circles away.
Mc Cullough Erwin is winning the standup battle so far.
A combination from Price does no damage.
Price doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Erwin counter with a right hand.
Mc Cullough Erwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Price.

Erwin cracks Price with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Erwin has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Price to stand back up!
Erwin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Erwin lands an uppercut, right on the button! Price tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mc Cullough Erwin!
Mc Cullough Erwin is the new lightweight champion!
