Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silva lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Silva advances to half guard.

Juarez looking for submissions off his back.
Silva is keen to just control but Juarez is a slippery customer.

Silva looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Juarez wants to control but Silva is keeping busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Juarez's head.

Juarez is looking to get back to full guard here but Silva has managed to pass to side control instead.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Juarez takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Juarez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Juarez keeps working.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Silva decides to stand back up. Silva steps back and let's Juarez get back to his feet.

Silva forces Juarez back against the cage and clinches.

Silva decides to pull guard.
Juarez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Silva is trying to keep Juarez in close.
Juarez throwing strikes from guard but Silva blocks nicely.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Silva throws a body punch but Juarez moves out of range.
Juarez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Juarez fails with a takedown attempt.

Jose Silva dominated that round.
That's time! Juarez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Silva lands a big head kick that sends Juarez tumbling to the mat! Silva takes a step backwards and waves Juarez back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Juarez is rocked!

It looks like Tyson Juarez has been cut.

Silva closes the distance looking for a takedown. Juarez stuffs it but Silva still has hold of him. Silva picks Juarez up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Silva slams Juarez to the floor and that's really hurt Juarez - he doesn't know where he is! Silva throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
