Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Gibson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elton Frederickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Samuel Gibson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Elton Frederickson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frederickson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gibson avoids it really well and circles away.
Gibson tries to bum rush Frederickson with a series of wild strikes but Frederickson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Frederickson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Gibson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Frederickson has his hands clasped together around Gibson's back. He's all about the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Frederickson works his way to full guard. Good work.
Frederickson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Frederickson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frederickson has momentary wrist control but Gibson slips an elbow through the middle.
Gibson throws a strike but Frederickson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Frederickson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Gibson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Frederickson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gibson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Gibson prevents Frederickson from moving into mount.
Frederickson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Gibson holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

Nice sprawl there from Frederickson as Gibson shoots in.
A nice side step and Frederickson releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Gibson is looking to pass into half guard but Frederickson pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Frederickson is in guard.

Gibson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gibson tries to get out of the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Frederickson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gibson's guard.

Gibson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Frederickson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gibson blocks it with crossed arms.

Frederickson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gibson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Frederickson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gibson manages to get himself to full guard.

No joy there for Frederickson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Frederickson leaves Gibson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samuel Gibson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gibson shoots in for a double leg but Frederickson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
As Gibson backs off Frederickson throws a huge counter combo but Gibson manages to avoid it all.

Frederickson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gibson is fending him off so far but Frederickson persists. Nope, Gibson circles away and we're back to standing.
It looked like Gibson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
The crowd cheers as Frederickson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gibson doesn't seem phased though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Frederickson throws a sloppy head kick and Gibson moves out of range easily.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Frederickson wants to clinch up but Gibson keeps it at a distance.

Elton Frederickson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Frederickson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Gibson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
