Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dakota Weston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendoza throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mendoza throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mendoza looks to score with a jab to the body but Weston is just out of range.
A left lands for Mendoza.
Weston shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mendoza sprawls well. Mendoza wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Weston gets slowly back to his feet.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Mendoza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Weston swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Weston shoots for a double leg takedown but Mendoza sprawls well. He's pushed Weston's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Weston swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Luis Mendoza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Weston shoots for a takedown but Mendoza saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Weston was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Mendoza seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
