Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Ben Watson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kongo wants to clinch up but Groper keeps it at a distance.
Groper looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Kongo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Groper fires out a quick counter leg kick but Kongo just manages to avoid it.
Groper shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kongo sprawls well. Kongo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Groper gets slowly back to his feet.

and Groper counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Groper.

Groper wants to control from the top but Kongo keeps moving.
Groper slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kongo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Groper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Groper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Groper got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kongo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Groper has managed to get both his arms back between Kongo's legs - danger averted.
Groper controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
