Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Giovanni Humphrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vegas Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bonjour. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giovanni Humphrey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vegas Brooks!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks looks to throw the jab but Humphrey is out of range.
Brooks throws a hook to the side of Humphrey's head but Humphrey sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Humphrey moves forwards but Brooks connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Brooks scores with a crisp jab that stopped Humphrey in his tracks.
Brooks misses with a looping left.
Humphrey is looking to counter punch.
Brooks cracks Humphrey with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Nice uppercut lands for Brooks. That snapped Humphrey's head back.
Vegas Brooks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brooks keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Humphrey jumps guard but Brooks stands there with Humphrey around his waist. Humphrey gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Humphrey walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Humphrey seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Brooks might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Brooks missing with a left hand there. Humphrey was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Humphrey really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brooks takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Vegas Brooks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Brooks takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Humphrey ducks under a wild hook from Brooks.
Humphrey seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Brooks lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Nice defenses there by Humphrey.
Brooks is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Humphrey had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Humphrey is working for a kimura but Brooks is defending it quite comfortably.

Humphrey will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Humphrey thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Humphrey looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Humphrey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Vegas Brooks dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Humphrey has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Brooks uses from the top position.

Brooks got a little sloppy there for a moment and Humphrey has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brooks has managed to get both his arms back between Humphrey's legs - danger averted.
Humphrey is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Brooks dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brooks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Humphrey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Humphrey is looking to improve his position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Humphrey shoots in looking for a takedown. Brooks tries to sprawl out of it but Humphrey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brooks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Humphrey counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Humphrey.
Humphrey jumps guard but Brooks stands there with Humphrey around his waist. Humphrey gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Giovanni Humphrey will probably get the nod.

Humphrey wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brooks, who protects the arm well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Humphrey swings around for an armbar but Brooks sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Humphrey's guard.
Humphrey is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Brooks is fighting to break Humphrey's control of his arms but Humphrey is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Brooks gets to his feet. Humphrey looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

And that's the end of the fight!
Giovanni Humphrey showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Humphrey has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
