Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Liana Pirosin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Panagiotis Bitakos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Liana Pirosin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Panagiotis Bitakos!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Pirosin or perhaps it was just good defense by Bitakos, which made it look bad.
Bitakos is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pirosin.
Pirosin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bitakos defends well and Pirosin ends up having to push Bitakos into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Bitakos throws a big counter head kick but Pirosin avoids it with no problem.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Liana Pirosin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pirosin tries to land a front kick but Bitakos steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Bitakos gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Bitakos is looking to break free of the clinch but Pirosin has double underhooks.
Bitakos tries to throw a body punch but Pirosin avoids it by throwing Bitakos back against the cage.
Bitakos is trying to break the clinch but Pirosin is controlling him.
Pirosin keeps control of Bitakos as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pirosin blocks a body shot from Bitakos.

Bitakos jumps guard but Pirosin stands there with Bitakos around his waist. Bitakos gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Pirosin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Pirosin breaks from the clinch.
Bitakos connects with a right hand. Pirosin shakes it off.

Bitakos closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pirosin did well to prevent Bitakos getting side control.
Bitakos thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pirosin's head.
Bitakos trying to mount his opponent but Pirosin defends it.
Pirosin has a hand on Bitakos's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Bitakos takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Bitakos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pirosin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bitakos is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Pirosin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Pirosin tries to hold on but Bitakos postures up.
Pirosin is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Pirosin sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Bitakos tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pirosin knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Pirosin wants to improve his position but Bitakos is controlling well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bitakos tries to stand and escape but Pirosin is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pirosin tries to roll over but Bitakos keeps him under control.

Bitakos is working for a submission of some sort.
Pirosin flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pirosin moves in looking to clinch but Bitakos pushes him off.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bitakos.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Panagiotis Bitakos dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Pirosin swats away the attempt to clinch by Bitakos.
As Bitakos looks to move away, Pirosin throws a big counter combo bu Bitakos just gets out of the way.
Pirosin is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Liana Pirosin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pirosin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Bitakos counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Pirosin manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Bitakos trying to control but Pirosin is working from the bottom.
Pirosin seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Bitakos not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Bitakos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pirosin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pirosin controls Bitakos momentarily but Bitakos frees himself.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pirosin.
Pirosin is looking to clinch.
Pirosin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bitakos avoids it really well and circles away.
Pirosin throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bitakos's head.
Bitakos has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Bitakos changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pirosin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Pirosin wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Bitakos connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Pirosin some visible discomfort.
Bitakos in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Pirosin gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Bitakos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pirosin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Pirosin regains full guard. Nicely done.
Pirosin wants to sweep but no luck.

Bitakos is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Bitakos postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Bitakos tries to free his leg and advance position but Pirosin is retaining full guard.
Bitakos must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Pirosin wants to sweep here but Bitakos controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pirosin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bitakos circles away.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bitakos throws a nice inside leg kick.
Pirosin tries to clinch but Bitakos moves away

Panagiotis Bitakos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Bitakos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pirosin's guard.

Pirosin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bitakos pushes down on Pirosin's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Bitakos is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bitakos lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pirosin has hold of Bitakos's hands but Bitakos slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Bitakos tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Pirosin.

Bitakos perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bitakos is trying to control. Pirosin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Pirosin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bitakos is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pirosin regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Bitakos.
Pirosin controls Bitakos momentarily but Bitakos frees himself.

Pirosin misses with a takedown attempt - Bitakos sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Bitakos throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bitakos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pirosin.
Bitakos replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Pirosin blocks it well.

Bitakos stays in close to Pirosin's body and controls the position.
Pirosin thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Pirosin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bitakos is one step ahead there.

Panagiotis Bitakos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bitakos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
