Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marty Atkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oemarch Eertdatiere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atkinson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A head kick from Eertdatiere lands but Atkinson takes it in his stride.
A bone on bone clash there as Atkinson blocks the leg kick.
Eertdatiere misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Atkinson throws a big counter combination but Eertdatiere scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Atkinson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A body shot lands from Eertdatiere.
Eertdatiere is pressed up against the cage. Atkinson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Eertdatiere down to the mat. Eertdatiere avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Eertdatiere cracks Atkinson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Eertdatiere scores with a kick to the body.
Atkinson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Eertdatiere throws a hook to the side of Atkinson's head but Atkinson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Atkinson fails with a takedown attempt.

Eertdatiere throws a wild body kick that Atkinson sees coming a mile off.
Atkinson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Eertdatieres jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Oemarch Eertdatiere seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Eertdatiere misses with a head kick.
Atkinson was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Eertdatiere lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Eertdatiere misses with a wild combination.
Atkinson connects with a leg kick. Eertdatiere looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Eertdatiere misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Atkinson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Atkinson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Atkinson shoots in and drives through. Eertdatiere sprawls well.

Eertdatiere tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Atkinson moves into range and clinches up with Eertdatiere.
Eertdatiere lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Atkinson backwards.
Eertdatiere swings wildly with an uppercut but Atkinson uses good head movement to avoid it.

Atkinson pulls Eertdatiere into guard.

Eertdatiere wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Atkinson's closed guard. He's half up but Atkinson has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Atkinson pivots and extends the arm, Eertdatiere falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Atkinson! Well done that man!
