Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kagen Knight!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raine Lovelair!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lovelair throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Knight stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Knight fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lovelair.
Lovelair throws an ugly left hook that misses

so Knight counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Knight thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knight is looking to advance position but Lovelair has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Knight is squirming around, avoiding Lovelair's attempts to control the action.
Knight is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Lovelair throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Knight sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Knight is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lovelair pulls his head out easily.
Lovelair is trying to control. Knight wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Knight has his hands clasped together around Lovelair's back. He's all about the action.
Knight gets back to full guard.
I've been told that Lovelair has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.
Lovelair wants to control from the top but Knight keeps moving.
Lovelair postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Knight escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lovelair gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Knight looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Knight bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lovelair's guard.

Knight with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Knight scoring with punches to the head and body.
Knight is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Knight with a flurry of punches that miss.

Knight controls from within his opponent's guard.
Knight throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lovelair works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Knight passes Lovelair's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Lovelair strikes from the bottom but Knight passes into mount!
Lovelair takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Lovelair is rocked!
Knight postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Lovelair in real trouble here! The ref calls for Lovelair to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kagen Knight!
Kagen Knight is the new middleweight champion!
After winning the bout, Kagen Knight thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
