Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jonah Solis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Spear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spear has chosen Be Survivor as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonah Solis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Spear!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spear throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Solis was covering up waiting for the punch and Spear finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Spear postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Spear trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Solis is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Solis manages to break the clinch.

Spear shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Spear is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Spear tries to free his leg and advance position but Solis is retaining full guard.
Spear has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Spear seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Solis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Solis tries to kick Spear off in order to stand up. Spear Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Spear postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Solis avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Spear.
Solis tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Spear wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Spear takes a little break here. Solis wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Spear wants to lay and pray for a moment but Solis keeps working.
Solis is trying to control Spear's posture but Spear avoids it.

Spear has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Spear closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Solis quickly recovers to half guard.
Solis slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Spear is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Spear stands up from Solis's guard - Spear perhaps looking for a knockout.

Spear drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Solis is pushing Spear's head away, looking to escape. Spear manages to hold on to the position though.
Spear wants to control but Solis is keeping him busy.
Spear is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Solis tries to buck Spear off but Spear is having none of it.

Solis is looking to regain half guard here but Spear keeps moving and retains side control.
Spear moves into full mount!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Spear wants to control the pace but Solis is squirming around nicely.

Spear throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Solis tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Spear is in Solis's guard.

Spear has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Spear slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mike Spear has got the better of the ground game so far.
Solis wants to stand but Spear is controlling the position.
Spear wants to pass the guard but Solis is keeping the position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Spear is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Solis's half guard.
Solis pushes Spear off looking to stand but Spear dives back in and keeps control.
Solis is looking for a sweep. Spear is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Spear bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Solis is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Spear asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Solis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Spear is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Solis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Solis wants to get back to his feet.
Solis can't do much from the bottom here.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's time! Solis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Solis tries to pull guard but Spear holds him up against the cage and eventually Solis drops back down to his feet.

Spear wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Spear wants to stand up but Solis is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Spear working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Solis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Solis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Solis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Spear just stands there and leans against the cage.

Solis wants to stand but Spear has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Spear is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Spear isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Solis stacks Spear on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Solis!

Mike Spear comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Spear winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
