The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos misses with a double jab.
Hazzard tries to clinch up.

Hazzard drives through with a takedown into Santos's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Hazzard sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Santos's guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Santos manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Hazzard slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Santos felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hazzard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Santos keeps working.
Santos is looking for a sweep.

Hazzard has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Santos is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Hazzard yanks on the arm and Santos is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Hazzard.
