Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ventura is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Turpin.
Ventura tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Turpin was well out of range. Poor timing from Ventura.
Ventura blocks a head kick by Turpin.
Ventura ducks under a wild hook from Turpin.

Ventura scores with a takedown into Turpin's guard.
Ventura throwing strikes but missing.
Ventura postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ventura missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ventura is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Ventura wants to pass the guard but Turpin is keeping the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ventura wants to control from the top but Turpin keeps moving.
Ventura with a flurry of punches that miss.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Ventura is looking to work some ground and pound but Turpin has wrist control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Turpin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ventura.
Ventura throws a body punch but Turpin moves out of range.
A thudding body kick lands there by Ventura!
Turpin connects with a right hand. Ventura shakes it off.
Ventura turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Turpin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ventura can pounce on him.
A combination from Turpin does no damage.
Ventura looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Ventura shoots in for a takedown but Turpin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Turpin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Turpin's corner calls for a 1-2. Turpin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Turpin takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jab by Ventura.
A slapping leg kick lands for Ventura.
Ventura takes a jab right on the kisser.
Turpin throws a looping overhand right but Ventura ducks down to avoid it.
Ventura throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Turpin misses with an uppercut.
Ventura appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Turpin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Turpin sends Ventura crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Turpin is motioning to the referee to let Ventura up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Ventura is rocked!
Ventura circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Turpin. Ventura falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Turpin!

A determined Randolph Turpin didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
