Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Edward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Smith!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Edward does no damage.

Edward tries to keep at a distance but Smith has taken the fight into the clinch.
Edward wants to get back to striking at distance but Smith won't allow it.
Smith has Edward pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Edward manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Edward is pressed up against the cage. Smith has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Edward down to the mat. Edward avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Edward throws a body shot but no joy.
Smith unleashes a big counter combination but Edward bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Oooooh!!! Smith has knocked Edward down with a huge combo! Smith steps away and waves a wobbly Edward back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Edward is rocked!


It looks like Jack Edward has been cut.
Edward misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Oh Edward is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith lands a body shot.
Smith looks to score with a jab to the body but Edward is just out of range.
Edward seems to have got his legs back now.

Smith closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Smith breaks from the clinch.
Smith throws a right and a left that Edward avoids nicely.
Smith doesn't manage to clinch there - Edward circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Edward.
Smith throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Smith looks to land a left hand but Edward moved out of range nicely.
Edward showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smith.
Edward misses the shot to the body.
Edward dodges the punch combination from Smith.
Edward's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Edward duly obliges.
Edward lands a nice hook to Smith's body. Smith takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Edward ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smith moves away.
Edward fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Edward scores with a crisp jab that stopped Smith in his tracks.
Edward could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Edward lands a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Smith moves into the clinch successfully.
A frustrated look appears on Edward's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Smith changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Edward fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jack Edward has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Smith.
Edward connects with a good right hand that stumbles Smith. Smith circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Edward throws a body punch but Smith moves out of range.
No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Edward ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smith moves away.

Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Smith is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Edward is defending well.
Edward looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Smith lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Smith jumps guard.
Edward pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smith is keeping the position for now.
Edward wants to stand but Smith is controlling his posture from full guard.
Smith has control of Edward's left arm, preventing Edward from doing any damage.

Smith pushes a forearm under Edward's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Edward is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
