Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damien Santo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and nicolas moya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

moya had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Santo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. moya Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Santo's back instead.

Santo decides to stand up.

Santo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Santo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
moya is in a horrible position here. Santo smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Santo has control of moya's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and moya regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Santo jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but moya manages to avoid the submission attempt.
moya is looking to regain half guard here but Santo keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
moya manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
