Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jonny Perry !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sure Kane!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry shoots in but Kane avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kane dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Perry . That did some damage!
Kane gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kane misses with a punch on the inside.
Kane lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Perry backwards.
Kane gets underhooks to prevent Perry 's takedown attempt.
Perry 's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Kane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Perry bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kane is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Perry asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Perry just content to control the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Perry goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kane rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Perry 's guard! Nice work there by Kane!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kane would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Perry looking for a guillotine here but Kane defends easily.
Perry looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Kane is defending well. Perry quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Kane has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Perry celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

A determined Jonny Perry didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
