The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Warrior fails to land with a series of punches.
Costanzo fails with the takedown
and The Warrior counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Giraldo Costanzo has been cut.
A cross from The Warrior lands.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Costanzo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Costanzo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from The Warrior.
Costanzo is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Costanzo throws a sloppy head kick and The Warrior moves out of range easily.

Costanzo rushes The Warrior and presses him up against the cage.
Costanzo's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The Warrior breaks from the clinch.

Costanzo looks for a takedown but The Warrior sprawls well.
Ajax The Warrior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The Warrior tries to keep at a distance but Costanzo has taken the fight into the clinch.
Costanzo fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The Warrior stalls.
Costanzo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The Warrior scores with a shot to the side of Costanzo's head.

The Warrior's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The Warrior lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

That has opened up Giraldo Costanzo's cut even more.
The Warrior looks to land a left hand but Costanzo moved out of range nicely.

The Warrior has managed to clinch.

Costanzo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Costanzo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around The Warrior's waist but The Warrior gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Costanzo off to one side.
Costanzo walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Costanzo limp body while The Warrior jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
