Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hugh G Rection!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Etsu Kamon!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rection swinging wildly here.
Rection misses with a few strikes there.
Kamon lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Hugh G Rection has been cut.
Rection scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Etsu Kamon has been cut.
Oooooh!!! Rection has knocked Kamon down with a huge combo! Rection steps away and waves a wobbly Kamon back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Kamon is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rection tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rection digs a good body shot into Kamon's ribs.
Rection drops Kamon with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kamon looks back up at him and smiles so Rection waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Kamon is still on wobbly legs! Can Rection finish him?
Rection jabs Kamon to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kamon fails with the takedown
and Rection counters with a left to the body.
Kamon looks winded!
Rection lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Kamon up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Rection from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Kamon's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hugh G Rection!
After the fight, Hugh G Rection was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
