The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thigpen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into The Fox's guard.
The Fox wants to get back to his feet but Thigpen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Thigpen controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The Fox looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Thigpen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming The Fox to the mat! The Fox manages to get full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now The Fox is on top in guard.

Horrible takedown attempt by The Fox or perhaps it was just good defense by Thigpen, which made it look bad.

The Fox tries to score a power double leg takedown but Thigpen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten The Fox somewhat.

Thigpen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Thigpen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Thigpen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The Fox swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Thigpen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! The Fox is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Thigpen, into his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well Thigpen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
