MacLeod comes to the cage accompanied by Braveheart Freedom Speech. Sam MacLeod has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sam MacLeod!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Saan Shlamel!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shlamel misses with a low kick.
Shlamel misses with a looping right.
MacLeod is looking to counter punch.
MacLeod cracks Shlamel with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Shlamel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Shlamel misses with the head strike.
A head punch blocked on the inside by MacLeod.
Shlamel lands a left hand that snaps the head of MacLeod backwards.
Shlamel stalling in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shlamel throws a head punch that misses.
A nice left hand lands by Shlamel.
Shlamel lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Shlamel keeps control of MacLeod as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Shlamel has MacLeod pushed against the cage.
Oh MacLeod is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shlamel misses with a hook from the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Shlamel takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Shlamel's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Shlamel lands a body shot.
MacLeod blocks an uppercut.
Shlamel has MacLeod pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. MacLeod is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Shlamel - that's hurt MacLeod badly! Oh, another knee lands and MacLeod is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but MacLeod doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Saan Shlamel!
Saan Shlamel is the new welterweight champion!
After winning the bout, Saan Shlamel thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
