Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Police Officer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alberto Caesar!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Officer lands.
Officer has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Nice uppercut lands for Officer. That snapped Caesar's head back.
Caesar fails to land the takedown.
A telegraphed right hand from Officer misses the target.
Caesar wants to counter the offense by Officer and move into the clinch position.

and Caesar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Officer won't be happy with that.

Officer is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Caesar takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Caesar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Officer keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Caesar wants to take a breather but Officer is having none of it.
Officer is looking for a sweep. Caesar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Caesar looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Officer manages to get to full guard.
Caesar won't allow Officer to sweep him here.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Caesar content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Officer looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Caesar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Officer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Officer is looking for a triangle but Caesar pushes his legs off easily.
Caesar is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Caesar wants to control from the top but Officer keeps moving.

Officer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Caesar stopping the sweep attempt from Officer.
Caesar passes into half guard.
Caesar prevents Officer from improving his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Officer looking for submissions off his back.
Officer gets back to full guard.
Officer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Caesar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Officer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Caesar defends well.
Caesar wants to pass the guard but Officer is keeping the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Officer lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Police Officer will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Officer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Caesar manages to avoid it.
Police Officer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Officer throws an off balance right hand

and Caesar counters with a shoot takedown. Officer fights it but they end up in guard.

Officer has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Caesar doesn't defend quickly enough and Officer has managed to lock this one up! Can Caesar escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Officer on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Police Officer!
