Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Dellave!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Angel Ricci!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricci tries for a takedown but Dellave circles away easily
and Dellave connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dellave lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ricci tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dellave manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ricci shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dellave but Dellave pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dellave moves into range and connects with a jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ricci.
Thiago Dellave has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Angel Ricci.
Ricci tries to clinch but Dellave is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ricci takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Dellave circles away from the clinch attempt
and Dellave counters with a stiff right hand.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ricci crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dellave - the referee stops the clock and Ricci gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dellave. Ricci manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Dellave.
Ricci moves away from the strike by Dellave.
Dellave thuds his shin into the meat of Ricci's side.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ricci.
Dellave scores with a jab to the jaw.
Dellave misses with an uppercut. Ricci saw that one coming.
Dellave keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dellave throws a leg kick which misses Ricci's front leg but catches the back leg as Ricci tries to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ricci misses with a takedown
and Dellave counters with an outside leg kick.
Ricci looks winded!
Ricci shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Dellave counters with a good low kick that Ricci was not able to check.
Thiago Dellave is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A lazy left from Dellave finds it's target.
It looks like Angel Ricci has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Dellave.
Dellave fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Dellave lands with a slapping head kick.
Dellave connects with a leg kick. Ricci looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Ricci shoots in for a double leg but Dellave sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Ricci tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dellave sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ricci somewhat.

Dellave throws a head kick that Ricci semi-blocks.
Ricci shoots for a double leg takedown but Dellave sprawls well. He's pushed Ricci's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dellave moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Ricci is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dellave sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ricci fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Dellave lands with a kick to the temple. Ricci shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Dellave paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ricci takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Dellave throws a nice head kick!

An inside leg kick lands from Dellave.
Ricci is still on wobbly legs! Can Dellave finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dellave lands a big right hook! Ricci looks hurt but is still standing! Dellave lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Ricci falls down and Dellave dives in with a huge hammer fist! Ricci's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Dellave runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Thiago Dellave!
