The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Furinji sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Furinji fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ortiz.
Furinji throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Joe Ortiz has been cut.
Ortiz sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Furinji gets a clinch.
Ortiz wants to get back to striking at distance but Furinji won't allow it.
Ortiz takes a knee right on the jaw!
Furinji pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns Ortiz! Furinji unloads with more strikes and Ortiz sinks to his knees! This one is all over!

After the fight, Spartacus Furinji was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
