Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borges lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Balabanko backs up against the cage.
It looks like Georgiy Balabanko has been cut.
Borges dives in for a single leg takedown but Balabanko sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Balabanko half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Balabanko on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Balabanko displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Borges.

Borges connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Borges getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Borges swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Balabanko counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Borges!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Balabanko fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Balabanko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Balabanko throws an elbow but Borges slips to the side and avoids it well.
Balabanko postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Borges avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Balabanko.
Balabanko creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Borges wants to control but Balabanko postures up.
Balabanko misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Balabanko looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Borges is trying to control Balabanko's posture but Balabanko avoids it.

Borges manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Balabanko slips a nice elbow through Borges's hands, connecting with Borges's forehead.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Balabanko thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Borges's head.
Borges pushes Balabanko off looking to stand but Balabanko dives back in and keeps control.
Balabanko is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Borges defends it well.

Balabanko seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Borges is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
