The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silakka throws a body punch but Pat moves out of range.
Pat misses with a straight right.
Pat connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Simo Silakka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pat misses with the combination.
Silakka throws a series of punches but Pat moves out of range.
Silakka connects with a body shot that sends Pat's belly button to the back.
Pat swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Pat darts in and clinches Silakka up against the cage.
Pat lands a shoulder strike.
Pat unloads a knee to the mid-section. Silakka lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Silakka digs a right hand underneath Pat's ribcage. Pat let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Pat working some nice short punches in the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silakka wants to break the clinch but can't.
Silakka has had enough of the clinch but Pat keeps him there for the moment.
Pat doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Pat swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Silakka tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pat's elbow.
Pat digs a right hand underneath Silakka's ribcage. Silakka let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Pat works on Silakka's body with a couple of short punches.
Silakka tries to stall but Pat uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Silakka tries to work over Pat's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Pat is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Silakka is defending well for now.
Silakka misses with a punch to the body.

Silakka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pat scores with a jab to the body.
Pat takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Pat cracks a nice hook into Silakka's ribs.
Pat defending well as Silakka loads up on a big left hand.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Pat! Silakka is out on his feet! Pat rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Silakka is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Silakka is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
