Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Ramires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Ulrich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fernando Ramires has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fernando Ramires!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jorge Ulrich!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ulrich looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ramires appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Ramires shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ramires showed some decent athleticism there.
Ramires prevents Ulrich from standing back up.
Ulrich looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Ulrich is not content to let Ramires control the position.
Ulrich is trying to stand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ramires is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ulrich doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ramires.
Ramires tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ulrich knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Ramires is working for a kimura but Ulrich is defending it quite comfortably.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Ramires closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ramires wants to take a breather but Ulrich manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Ramires.
Ulrich should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Ramires won't allow Ulrich to get back to his feet.

Ramires drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ulrich looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ulrich looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ulrich!

Ulrich tries to stand but Ramires controls the position and pulls Ulrich into his guard.

Ramires looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ramires has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ulrich can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramires looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Ulrich puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Ramires is trying to get back to full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ramires looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ramires is looking to control Ulrich's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ramires avoid being mounted?

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Ramires is really struggling to control Ulrich but he's trying to hold on to the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Ulrich would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Ulrich can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ramires controls the pace.

That was a close second round but I would say that Fernando Ramires will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Fernando Ramires showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ramires, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
