Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Asa Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orian Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Asa Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Orian Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Summer Carpenter and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Snow paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Johnson instigates a clinch.
Johnson scores with a hook to the body.

Snow ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Snow no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Johnson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Johnson takes one to the chin there.
Snow really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snow scores with the left hand. Johnson knows he should have avoided that one.
Snow connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Johnson's hands.

Johnson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Snow tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Johnson is in Snow's guard.

Johnson decides to stand back up. Johnson steps back and let's Snow get back to his feet.
Johnson darts in looking for a takedown but Snow gets double underhooks and turns Johnson into the cage.
Johnson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A little feinted left hand from Snow on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Johnson misses with a kick to the body.
Snow appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Snow fails in his attempt to clinch.
Johnson staying out of range there.
Johnson tries to move into range but Snow moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Snow is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Snow scores with the left hand. Johnson knows he should have avoided that one.
Snow doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.

Snow stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Snow wants it to stay on the feet.
Asa Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Orian Johnson.

Snow is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Johnson stands up and beckons Snow to his feet.
Snow tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Johnson counters with a stiff right hand.
Orian Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Snow fails in his attempt to clinch.
Johnson throws a counter combo.
Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Johnson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

and Snow counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Johnson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Snow wants to sweep but Johnson has passed to side control!
Snow tries to buck Johnson off but Johnson is having none of it.
Snow sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Snow is working to get back to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Orian Johnson will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Johnson looks to throw a body kick
and Snow counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Johnson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Snow wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance.
Snow is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Johnson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Snow is looking to regain half guard here but Johnson keeps moving and retains side control.

Johnson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Snow to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Johnson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Snow looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Johnson passes into side control.
Snow tries to improve position but can't.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Johnson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Snow is working hard here to advance position.
Orian Johnson has got the better of the ground game so far.

Snow gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Snow flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Snow throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Johnson stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Orian Johnson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Snow tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Snow to the ground. Snow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Johnson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Snow throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Johnson was covering up waiting for the punch and Snow finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Johnson has an active guard here but Snow has managed to pass into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Orian Johnson will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Johnson wants to control from the top but Snow keeps moving.

Horrible takedown attempt by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Snow, which made it look bad.
Johnson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Johnson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Snow finds it's way round the side to connect with Johnson's head.
Snow cracks Johnson with a good jab.

Snow lands with a hook. Johnson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Johnson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Snow counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Asa Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Orian Johnson.
Johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Snow counters with a nice uppercut.
Johnson misses with a kick to the body.
Snow feints and then cracks Johnson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Johnson down.
Johnson has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

and Snow counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Johnson.
Johnson keeps the fight on the outside.

Johnson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Snow gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Snow is trying to drag Johnson to the mat but Johnson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Snow pulls Johnson into guard.

Snow keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully.

Snow is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Snow wants to improve his position but instead Johnson has moved into half guard.
Johnson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Johnson goes for an armbar but Snow turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Snow.
Asa Snow has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Orian Johnson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Snow postures up in Johnson's guard and throws a big left but Johnson blocks it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Asa Snow showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Johnson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
