Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dakker Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Dawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dawkins is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by This is How I Bang. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane throws a half hearted mid kick.
And Dawkins tries to counter it with a takedown but Kane pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Dawkins gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kane.

Dawkins closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kane did well to prevent Dawkins getting side control.
Dawkins wants to pass to mount but Kane is defending the position.
Dawkins seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kane does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kane is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dawkins pulls his head out easily.

Kane looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dawkins is working for a submission of some sort.

Kane slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Kane is looking for a triangle but Dawkins pushes his legs off easily.
Dawkins is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kane is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Kane has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dawkins can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dawkins postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kane is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dawkins, into his guard.

Kane trying to control the position from guard on top but Dawkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kane got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dawkins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kane has managed to get both his arms back between Dawkins's legs - danger averted.
Kane looking to sit in guard and control but Dawkins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Dawkins wants to control from the top but Kane keeps moving.

Kane pushes a forearm under Dawkins's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Dawkins is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
