The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Penna tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rodriguez was well out of range. Poor timing from Penna.

Rodriguez moves into the clinch.
Rodriguez tries to pull guard but Penna holds him up against the cage and eventually Rodriguez drops back down to his feet.
Penna lands a nice elbow.
Rodriguez is trying to break free.

Penna breaks the clinch.
Rodriguez wants to clinch but Penna slips to the side

and Penna counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rodriguez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Penna is controlling him.
Rodriguez looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Penna postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Rodriguez keeping moving, preventing Penna from controlling successfully.
We've been hearing good reports from Rodriguez's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Rodriguez has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Penna should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Rodriguez has tightened it up now! Penna should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
