Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jer Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bear's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Good Times. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jer Bear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hector Carwin!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Good exchange - Bear coming out on top.
Bear dodges the punch combination from Carwin.
Carwin misses with a series of wild punches.
Carwin takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Bear throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Carwin misses with a straight left.
We've been hearing reports that Bear has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Carwin misses with a body kick.
Carwin swats away the attempt to clinch by Bear.
Carwin shapes to counter with a head kick.
Carwin scores with a decent looking hook.


It looks like Jer Bear has been cut.
Jab by Carwin.
Bear is looking to clinch but Carwin is avoiding it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Carwin looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Bear lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Carwin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

A left lands for Bear.
No joy there for Carwin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bear moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Jer Bear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bear scores with a decent looking hook.
Bear throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Carwin is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Bear is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
A punch combination from Carwin misses.
Bear lands with an overhand left.
Bear feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Carwins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Carwin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Carwin throws a right and a left that both miss.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carwin is looking to slow Bear down with leg kicks.
Bear is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Bear pushes Carwin up against the cage in a clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Bear breaks the clinch.
Carwin lands with a good body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bear scores with a jab.
Carwin takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Carwin tries a low kick but Bear avoids it.
Bear throws a series of punches but Carwin moves out of range.
A left and a right from Bear both land. Nice combination.
Carwin connects with a solid leg kick.
Bear is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Carwin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A big left from Bear misses.
Carwin is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Both fighters circling a little - Bear finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Bear lands with a shot to the body.
Carwin dodges the punch combination from Bear.
Carwin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Bear throws a combination. Carwin tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bear tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carwin was well out of range. Poor timing from Bear.
Carwin circles away from the clinch attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Carwin! But no joy.
Bear punishes Carwin's body with a nice straight punch.
Carwin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Carwin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bear has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Carwin looks winded!
Bear darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Carwin takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Bear cracks Carwin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Bear works the jab nicely.


Carwin is rocked!
Carwin is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Bear doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Carwin crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Carwin's bad books for that mishap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jer Bear!
Our winner, Jer Bear, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
