Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dillon Pittsenbarger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jones might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dmx Intro. Pittsenbarger has chosen Back Stabbers as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Jones!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dillon Pittsenbarger!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Pittsenbarger, which made it look bad.
Pittsenbarger throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pittsenbarger tests Jones's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Pittsenbarger misses with a double jab

and Jones counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Pittsenbarger!
We've been hearing good reports from Jones's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Pittsenbarger throws Jones to one side and escapes!
Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pittsenbarger circles away.
Jones shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pittsenbarger as he jumps to the side.
Pittsenbarger looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pittsenbarger scores with a decent looking hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pittsenbarger misses with an uppercut. Jones saw that one coming.
Jones slips a jab from Pittsenbarger.
Jones lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
A punch combination from Pittsenbarger misses.
Pittsenbarger takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.
Jones tries to counter by clinching up but Pittsenbarger breaks away and moves out of range.
Jones walks into a stiff left hand from Pittsenbarger.
Pittsenbarger misses with an uppercut. Jones saw that one coming.
Jones feinted with a counter takedown.
Pittsenbarger throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pittsenbarger's guard.
Pittsenbarger is wriggling around but Jones manages to pass to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pittsenbarger doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jones.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones stops Pittsenbarger from getting back to his feet.
Pittsenbarger is trying to escape back to his feet but Jones uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Pittsenbarger is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Jones is controlling him well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Pittsenbarger tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
You get the feeling that Pittsenbarger really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Pittsenbarger tries to buck Jones off so he can stand up but Jones has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Pittsenbarger falls backwards, slamming Jones to the mat but Jones holds on tight! Pittsenbarger is forced to tap and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jack Jones!
Jack Jones retains his bantamweight title!
