Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terrance Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vince Austen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Terrance Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vince Austen!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Austen clinches up with Santos and pushes him back against the cage.
Santos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Austen walks away with a smile on his face. Santos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Austen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Santos to the ground. Austen is now in Santos's guard.
Austen tries to free his leg and advance position but Santos is retaining full guard.
Santos is looking to stand up but Austen isn't so interested in that idea.

Austen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Austen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Santos not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Austen wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Austen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Austen passes Santos's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Santos wants to control but Austen is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Austen postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Santos to stand up.

Austen closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Santos quickly recovers to half guard.

Santos has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Austen is on him like a limpet, forcing Santos back against the cage.

Austen tightens his grip and picks Santos up, before dumping him to the ground. Santos manages to land in guard.
Santos will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Austen wants to stand but Santos has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Austen stands and steps away. Santos gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Santos really is a fat lump.

Santos rushes Austen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Austen manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Austen. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Austen is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Santos is defending well though. Austen let's go of the attempt for now.

Santos is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Santos jumps guard and drags Austen to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Vince Austen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Austen has control of Santos's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Santos regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Vince Austen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Austen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
